Magic in General Magic is a very fickle thing. Humans have trouble controlling it, and Gijinkas can't use it for some reason. However, those that master magic are very powerful individuals. Controlling magic takes a lot of work, and in some cases, many years to master. Magic does have its own restrictions. You can not kill anyone with a sudden blase of magic, but you can weaken them. You can not brainwash someone with a tiny spell, but you can persuade them a lot easier. You can not control someone's movements, but you can curse them to where doing something would be very difficult. The levels of magic require a lot of patience to reach, and sometimes people never reach them. Below you can find the levels of magic and what perks and abilities come with it. Keep in mind, you can only master in one type of magic. The two can never mix inside the same creature, or they will find themselves six feet underground a lot faster. there will also be a possibility of creating branches of magic under the light or dark magic, giving alternate routes for someone to follow while honing their skills. for now, however, there is only one route for each type of magic. Light & White Magic Light magic is focused on the life force of living things. Users of this magic draw upon the power of nature and their own life force to heal and offering blessings of health and youthfulness (just being full of energy) for years to come. The most powerful species of light magic are elves. Elves have the ability to foster this magic and use it at any point they need. Humans that learn this type of magic are called "witches" and "mages". Witches and mages also focus on healing and offering minor blessings. There are several levels of light magic, including levels where the power of life can be drained from the very environment if needed. Level 1 - healing minor wounds, can quickly cause herbs to grow level 2 - healing intermediate wounds and ability to repair injured plants level 3 - healing terrible wounds and ability to restore life into dying plants level 4 - can cure minor poison and can speed up tree growth Level 5 - can cure intermediate poison and can offer blessings of youth level 6 - can cure terrible poison and can sense all emotions radiating off of an aura level 7 - can see auras and can cleanse rivers and lakes level 8 - Can bless good fortune and see glimpses of the future in dreams level 9 - can see into the future when in a state of meditation and basic control over the weather and harvest level 10 - can summon peaceful spirits to possess the forest and trees as soldiers to fight -- mastery over basic light magic To level up, your character must practice magic in threads and participate in events. It takes 1 thread with over 1 page (1 whole page + one more post) to level up. To get to the final level, it requires participating in 2 events with over 1 whole page of practicing magic. Keep in mind: just because at a certain level of light magic says one can see auras and sense all emotions does not mean they are always right. A user of light magic can mistake anger for happiness, or joy for rage. A good liar can also easily change their aura to what is seen. Dark & Black Magic dark magic is a fickle thing. unlike light magic, which is used for higher morals and healing, dark magic is used to benefit the user through... various means. this includes, but is not limited to, influencing the decisions of another, placing curses on enemies, and taking control over the hearts of pokemon. dark magic is often produced through rituals, incantations, and magic circles; however, as you progress through the levels, you will find that there will be times when your magic is strong enough without the help of runes, dolls, and meowth bones. in such a case, all you need is a verbal incantation. the strongest of black magic wielders can produce their magic without a word. Level 1 - low level persuasion & darkening the hearts of low level pokemon level 2 - medium level persuasion & increased effectiveness in darkening the hearts of medium level pokemon level 3 - dull toxic touch (only useful on plants & water supplies) level 4 - steal energy from your target to heal your minor wounds Level 5 - increased effectiveness in darkening the hearts of high level pokemon level 6 - dull curse (of bad luck, etc.) & full toxic touch (living creatures -- ineffective on steel types -- plants & water supplies; causes sickness, wilt, etc.) level 7 - average curse (of illness, etc.) & high level persuasion level 8 - steal energy from your target to heal all of your wounds & return your energy level 9 - death walk (steals energy from living plants around you, leaving a trail of decay behind that produces toxins and releases it into the environment) level 10 - ability to create a barrier that deflects light magic -- mastery over basic dark magic leveling up is similar to that of light magic. |
