starter Pokemon Go to the reply to learn about breeding! Starter Pokemon are for almost every group except Gijinka (unless they are breeders). Each group has their own starter Pokemon with their own special lore. All starters come at level 15. this Pokemon will be first stage evolution. To claim your starter: reply to your profile after staff have posted 'accepted' and describe what it is like going through the ceremony of your species to gain a starter. Staff will reply with three choices out of the Pokemon below. After the choices are stated, you need to pick one and rp out how your character got it. Example: humans would just grab the pokeballs and leave, maybe snuggle it a bit. Elves will talk to theirs maybe, and dark ones will force darkness into the Pokemon. There is no strict way to do this, but this is to give you an idea about your own characters, a way to practice your style, and a way to discover how to rp any magical powers, and to rp out your starter Pokemon. Humans Human starter Pokemon used to be gained from the region professor, but now-a-days, they are gained from the family or from the Gym leader of their town. Since there is no professor anymore, these Pokemon are bred by local breeders and then distributed. Breeders get the same starters as humans do, but one male and one female of the same species. Starter pack: 5 Pokeballs, 2 Potions, 1 random status heal Ceremony The human ceremony of gaining a starter goes like this: you just ask someone of power for your choices and bam. You got yourself a Pokemon. Not as extravagant as you may think, but it gets the job done. In this day and age, however, the starters are left on a table and the future trainer or breeder chooses from one of the three. Elves Elf starter Pokemon are called life-long partners. These Pokemon are with the elf for life and usually never leave the elf's party. They are strong Pokemon that are filled with magical potential in light magic. These Pokemon can communicate with their brother or sister elf and tend to be very loyal regardless of their born nature. They can be cruel and unforgiving to anyone other than their master, however. starter pack: 5 pokeballs, 2 Life Powder, Level 1 light magic (or dark magic for dark elves) Ceremony The ceremony of gaining a life-long partner for the elves is considered very special. It is the time the elf has unlocked their magical potential and are now ready to talk to their future partner. The elf goes into a section of the tree of Elder Life and picks from among three random options that were laid out in the room. Choose wisely, this Pokemon will be with you for life. Dark Ones These Pokemon are given to dark ones that have passed their initiation test. They are very susceptible to dark magic and therefore are easily twisted to doing their new master's will. The relationship between this Pokemon and their dark one can range from close to master-servant. These Pokemon are also very loyal and will kill on command, without second thoughts. Some have been known to kill their own litter or clutch mates as a test of their strength. They are very powerful Pokemon and pick up on some dark magic which makes it difficult for light magic to change them back to a calmer state. starter pack: 5 pokeballs, 2 Old Gateau, level 1 dark magic Ceremony Getting a starter Pokemon for the Dark Ones is different from the other two species. There are three choices laid out in front of the dark one - all wild Pokemon that were forcefully removed from their parents after hatching. The Dark One in question must force dark magic into the heart and mind of their chosen Pokemon and force it to be their servant. This produces a loyal partner. capturing Pokemon Capturing Pokemon ranges from who and what you are. Every species, except Gijinkas, can use pokeballs. There are other ways to capture Pokemon though, and mostly, bond with them. Elves Elves can talk to Pokemon with a lot of light magic in them, but they can also send calm feelings of peace and relaxation to wild Pokemon if the elf has practiced light magic enough. This bonding can take hours, days, even weeks. Elves, however, are known for their patience. For Pokemon with black magic, elves can have a tough time and can even get sick from being around these Pokemon for too long. Dark ones Dark ones can force dark magic into the hearts of Pokemon they wish to control. This can take a while, but it works very well with weaker Pokemon. With Pokemon born in the land of light magic, dark ones can have a tough time, dark ones that try for too long on light magic Pokemon may find themselves suffering from feelings of kindness and wanting to preserve life. Sick feelings indeed. Gijinka Gijinka have the gift of being able to talk to all Pokemon, and therefore, can bond with the Pokemon via talking and persuasion. This can take a while, but not nearly as long as using magic like the other two species. humans You throw pokeballs until it works. Really, though, humans need to battle wild Pokemon until the wild Pokemon grows weak, then throw a pokeball. After that, you may or may not capture the Pokemon. Shiny & special Pokemon Rare as these Pokemon are, they are highly sought after. Shiny Pokemon are considered blessed. By which Elder? That depends on who and where you are. Special Pokemon, or Pokemon with rare markings and looks, are considered carries of magic. In reality, they have no extra abilities. They just look cool. They are also both very rare. |
