I can barely control this feeling, look at the murder in my eyes, then count to five . . . | Corvin felt a ghostly presence appear over his shoulder. Putting down the scroll he'd been reading, the disciple turned to greet Leah. "Hello there darling. Is there trouble?" He'd sent the ghost to go keep an eye on Lord Duvainion. Her sudden appearance could very well mean that something unpleasant had happened. The haunter floated for a moment and beckoned for Corvin to follow her. The dark one frowned but followed his pokemon. Raj got up from where he'd been laying at his masters side and padded alongside. "So nothing serious then? Why did you come and get me then?" Corvin frowned. Leah rolled her eyes and made motions with her claws. "Ahhh, he's bored then I take it. Again." Corvin did feel sorry for their Lord on occasion. He was forced to stay in the temple and that got boring real fast. However the disciples couldn't allow Duvainion outside the temple walls. The outside world was dangerous and the Lord couldn't learn of the outside world. Luckily Corvin didn't mind playing the part of entertainment at all. He enjoyed the talking and teasing. No doubt the little trouble maker had known Leah was keeping an eye on him the whole time and had asked her to fetch Corvin. The disciple chuckled as he swept up the steps and into the temple proper. He had a doofy grin on his face by the time he caught sight of Duvainion. "Did you need anything my Lord?" His words were accompanied by a sweeping bow that made his robes billow and shift around him. |

acting on your best behavior turn your back on mother nature a heavy, prolonged sigh escaped him, passing through his lips as his chest deflated from the lack of oxygen. he was on the floor--well, not really. he was one a scattered pile of books, having claimed them as a more suitable choice of seating than the actual armchair he had previously occupied after a few hours of being in the same room. he had his feet propped up on the chair, however, so at least he was making some use of the furniture. yet, having a chair become the seat for his bare feet probably wasn't the best usage the chair has had in a while. the books also dug into his back, their corners finding the worst possible places to call home. did he dare move? no. why would he? there wasn't anything better to do. the boy placed the book he was reading for the hundredth time that year on his face, the open pages curling around his cheeks and blocking his vision, making the world go dark.
"uial, did that annoying haunter go away yet?"
"caw!"
"you are not uial, you stupid bird."
exchanges like this were frequent when there was nothing else to do, when he finally addressed his own pokemon, the primary form of living (and nonliving) company he had at all times of the day. dulin, the pesky honchkrow, had himself perched on the back of the armchair. he sat there almost like a statue, surveying the small, disorganized room around him. his only movements came from adjusting himself, tilting his head towards a sound, or opening his beak to annoy his master. uial, the ever present yet ever silent dusknoir, was hidden in her master's shadow, yet her presence filled the room like a looming shadow. oh, how redundant that was. as for saura and loki, the two were buried underneath their own separate piles of books. the nidorino was supposedly asleep while loki took to, uh, eating the books before pausing to bicker with himself. the two heads really hated having the same body, especially when they both unknowingly reach for the same pages and end up biting each other.
the lord's attention was drawn away from his internal musings as the door creaked open and a grating caw emitted from the honchkrow as dulin flapped his wings without any intentions of actually leaving his perch. duvainion slowly reached up, pulling the open book down his face just enough so he could cast a glare towards the disciple bowing. within the blink of an eye, the book was closed and chucked at the disciple. it wasn't the best throw in the world, but he was at a horrible angle while laying on a bunch of books. "i need new reading material. these tomes are outdated and dull." if he didn't get anything new and exciting to do, he might as well go back to exploring the temple and accidentally waking up the elder. oh, wait, this would be on purpose this time.
