Torquil Grant Grier -- Nineteen -- Male.
6'3 -- Doesn't Care -- Mercenary.
6'3 -- Doesn't Care -- Mercenary.
Group: Neutral.
Pokemon:
Isla the Nidorina -- Female -- Cuddly Nature.
This Nidorina was obtained as a Nidoran when he was three and has been with him through everything. It evolved when he was seven and ran off once when he was fifteen before returning. It is relatively old, almost as old as him, but she is cuddly and acts like a baby still. And she is only a companion.
Torquil Grier -- Male -- Fussy Nature.
Espurr Gijinka -- Own Tempo Ability -- Level 15.
Scratch, Leer, Covet, Confusion.
Personality: Despite his fussy nature of the gijinka, Torquil is very stubborn and never backs down from a challenge. If someone wanted to arrest him, he'd fight them every step of the way too- considering he has a very strong fighting spirit and even when it comes his death, he wants to go down fighting or he doesn't want to go down at all. And when he doesn't want to do something? Expect him not to do it unless he has no other option in which he'll behave but give subtle hints that they are not in control of him. That they, whoever the person is at the time, cannot usually order him around and cannot make him do everything they want him to do. Whether this is, quite literally, marking his territory in a home or messing with their stuff- like he did back at the lab. So to say the least, Torquil is a troublemaker who is stubborn with a fighting spirit- to the point that he really is quite wild and that he won't be tamed anytime soon.
He is also very protective of people he cares about, taking hits for them and injures. Which, speaking of injuries, he takes pain lightly. Getting shot would only leave him hissing but brushing it off as merely a scratch, unless it was through his stomach or his heart- then he'd play it cool but seek help immediately. Torquil doesn't like taking help when its offered, but he knows when he can't do something himself and will admit it. Even if it is unwilling at the time. And as for his fussy nature, that is probably what keeps him well groomed and prideful. He is very fussy over his appearance, it has to be right before he walks out of his home. Or else he'll worry and fuss over it all day.
History: Born in a far off region, Torquil was born into a Scottish family to poor parents. At the age of three, he was given with Isla who he has been with sense and who he cares for- who he will die for. But at the age of five, he and Isla was moved off to Kalos. After learning Scottish Gaelic in his small village, he was bewildered by all the big places and the strange talking people who talked and walked strange. But what were they doing in Kalos exactly? Well, his parents needed money so they sold Torquil to a lab who quickly went to work making him a gijinka. It was one of the older espurrs in the litter but not the oldest, and the first couple of months at the lab were blocked by his memory. The memories being to painful for him to contain. But he held it together, having a growing dislike for strange people but not minding his family- his family becoming the other humans that were mixed with an espurr from the same litter.
Through the years of staying at the facility, Torquil grew liking for underdog pokemon and the like. He learned French, then Icelandic- evolving Isla when he was seven years old before she ran away one night when he was fifteen. She came back a couple days later, apologizing and snuggling up to him. So pretty much, everything was very calm even if Torquil didn't like being at the lab and such. Mostly because he wasn't there willingly, and when he was older, he caused more trouble for them. Like literally marking his territory from time to time, which did push the scientists buttons. Then again, he wanted to push their buttons- show that he didn't like them, that he didn't care for them, that they couldn't control him and that he wasn't there willingly.
So, when the family was transported to Phoenix, it was easy to say that they were rather glad to get rid of this trouble making gijinka that had been infuriating them for the past couple of years. Only recently learning English, Torquil has a strong accent- but besides that, he was escorted to the region by some guards who did get spit on, kicked, messed with, teased and so on. All the way here. But once here, Torquil ran off and became a mercenary. It was something he had taken interest in, with only one person higher than him and he got to pick which jobs he wanted to do- unless the one higher up orders him to do something.
